Episode 57 - 9.01 Star Wars Collecting and Thrawn

In this episode of the Random City Podcast, I discuss my Star Wars collecting addiction which mostly consists of buying too many Black Series figures.

I also briefly discuss the new Thrawn novel by Timothy Zahn and his appearance on Star Wars Rebels.  Thrawn is currently my favorite Star Wars character.

During my discussion of Thrawn, I mentioned Shazbazzar's parody song and the video mashup.  It is embedded below.

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Sketches

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was my favorite super hero cartoon series as a kid.  There were many things I liked about the series including the man three heros.  This was my first real introduction to Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar, and I thought that they were awesome!  I also loved the crossovers with other Marvel characters, like the X-men.

I did a series of six Copic marker sketch cards, and they are shown below.

My Muppet Babies Sketches

"Muppets Babies will make your dreams come true..."

In the fall of 1984, Jim Henson's Muppet Babies debuted on CBS.  It was must see TV for me for years on Saturday mornings.

I liked the Muppet movies and the old Muppet Show, but this series was the Muppets that I watched on the most consistent basis.  I loved the references to my favorite movies like Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I did a series of eight Muppet Babies copic marker sketches, that are included in this post.
